Patient Portal
Our Patient Portal allows our patients to request appointments, review results from labwork and request prescription refills through a secure connection .  Upon your request, we will send you an email with instructions on how to set up your account.

Appointments
We strongly encourage our patients to schedule appointments even if you call us on the same day in order to avoid having a long wait or possibly making the trip to our office only to have to reschedule.  If you are sick and need to be seen right away, we will make every effort to accommodate you.  In the case of an emergency, please call 911 or go directly to the hospital.

As a courtesy to us and to allow other patients to make last-minute appointments,  please call us with within 24 hours if you are unable to keep your appointment. If you miss more than two appointments, we will evaluate your records to determine if can continue to be seen at our office.  Failure to give a 24 hour notice will result in a $35 "no show" fee posted to your account.

Insurance Plans and Private Pay

Dr. Marotta is enrolled in most insurance plans.  Please check your insurance network to verify his information.  Our office will confirm your insurance when you schedule an appointment.

Prescription Refills
Please make requests for prescription refills at your appointments.  If it is not possible, the most efficient way to get it refilled is to ask the pharmacy to call our office to approve the refill.  Prescriptions require a follow up appointment every 3 to 6 months depending on your condition.  Controlled-substances/narcotic prescriptions require a follow up appointment every 30 days. New symptoms and/or events require an appointment.

Our office does not start new patients on narcotics for the treatment of chronic pain.  Treatment of acute pain with narcotics remains acceptable with a planned start and stop date.  Patients currently being treated for chronic pain with narcotics will be given the opportunity to transition/taper off the medication or be given the option of  a referral to a pain management specialist.

Please call 911 if you should have a medical emergency.  For non-emergency calls you may reach our office at 210-475-0605  during normal business hours.  Please leave a detailed message and we will return your call as soon as possible.

Lab Services
We have a Quest lab draw station in our office for the convenience of our patients.  If your insurance does not cover Quest, please let us know and we will prepare orders for a different lab.
